Notes: Farewell (and thanks for the fish)

Well folks, that should do it.

...and when I mean, should do it, I actually mean it this time.

The season five finale marks the last ever episode of My Little Pony that I have watched.

Now I know there is another season on the horizon, but I think it's time for me to hang up the horseshoes and move on.

It's been a great run with lots of memories, memorable moments and some that I would rather forget over five great years.

I've also made some great friends along the way, oh and a few ememies as well. (they will meet their own fate later)

I laughed at the good times and cried at the bad times, shared in the greatest moments and vented in fury.

I lost sleep watching episodes live to air, even going as far as renting a Slingbox to view the show through a dedicated link. But age sure has a way to catch up and those late nights/early mornings turned into breakfast screenings, even if it means trying to avoid spoilers.

I've seen it all and done it all. I wrote episode recap and review articles. While some people may have not have agreed with what I wrote, I was prepared to tell the truth, even if it mean't getting attacked.

I can easily calculate how much money I've spent over the years on pony merch, including plushies by the dozen. Some of which still stand proudly in my office to this day.

I can remember the countless trips to Canberra to get new merch, those charge fulled walks to Toys R Us full of confidence as I acquired what I could with little money I had.

While I never attended a brony convention due to my rural isolation, I had to make do with absentee packs and having to endure hot summer days trying to keep myself together due to the amount of social media coverage.

So yeah, that's what five years does to someone who was once a living wreck and with no hope for the future.

But now, it's time for me to pack my bags and move on to bigger and brighter things.

It's nothing personal I can assure you, but I think it's time for me to focus on my life a little more and continuing to chase my transgender journey.

So what will the future hold for me post My Little Pony? That's up to me to decide, but it's going to be a life changing one.

....and so, as I begin my ride to a new chapter in life, this is where we part ways.
